about Sarah A. Cohen
Sarah Cohen is a graduate of George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School, one of the top 50 law schools in the country. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in both Criminology and International Studies: International Relations, from The Ohio State University.
Sarah spent most of her life in Ohio and moved to Virginia to attend law school. She attended law school on partial scholarship and gained practical legal experience through summer jobs. During law school her summer jobs were at the Arlington County Attorney's Office and with an Arlington family law firm.
Sarah comes to Farrell & Croft P.C. after serving as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Carroll A. Weimer, Jr. of the 31st Judicial Circuit of Virginia in Prince William County, Virginia. During this clerkship, Sarah gained additional practical and significant experience. Under Judge Weimer, Sarah researched family law related legal issues. As part of the process, she reviewed motions to assist the judge prior to hearings and trials. She also had the benefit of observing numerous trials and hearings. Consequently she gained insight into successful trial and pre-trial techniques and strategies. Under Judge Weimer, Sarah drafted opinions and orders for review. She reviewed all orders submitted by the parties to the judge for signature. As a result of all of Sarah's experience, she is a critical part of our legal team in our representation of family law clients.
Sarah's interest and passion for family law is long standing. Her desire to connect with and assist people is a strong motivator for her. Other interests include her appreciation of nature and the outdoors, and watching college football. She brings her fresh perspective to Farrell & Croft, P.C. as she joins our family law team.
